Neurodivergent Mentoring

I have carefully developed each mentoring programme to support neurodivergent people in ways that reflect their individual needs. Everything is personalised — from the session structure and ongoing support to the full support pack you receive at the end.

Each programme has been created to support areas that aren’t always widely supported in the way you actually need.

Who do we support?

Neurodivergent children, young people, adults and families — including those who are exploring whether neurodivergence may be part of their experience.

Support is always shaped around the individual, their circumstances and what they need right now.

You might be trying to understand yourself after years of feeling that things were harder than they seemed to be for everyone else.

Perhaps you are navigating ADHD, autism or another neurodivergent profile, struggling with overwhelm, anxiety, relationships, communication, emotional regulation, sensory needs or simply trying to make everyday life work better.

We start with understanding — then work together to find what actually helps.

For young people, mentoring can provide a space to talk through the things that can become increasingly complicated as they grow.

This might include anxiety, social situations, changing friendships, sensory changes, emotional regulation, fear of vulnerability, or suddenly being expected to be “older” and more independent.

Sometimes asking for help becomes harder at this stage too. They may know something isn’t working but struggle to explain it, or feel uncomfortable being vulnerable with the adults around them.

Mentoring provides a space where they don’t have to have everything figured out. We can make sense of what’s happening together and find ways forward that feel manageable and genuinely theirs.

Online mentoring for young people is 12+ only.

I support children from around 7 years old, helping them make sense of emotions, sensory experiences, communication, behaviour and the things that can feel difficult or overwhelming.

Children don’t always have the words to explain what is happening for them. Sometimes their behaviour is their communication. Together, we can explore what may be sitting underneath those difficulties and find practical ways to make things feel more manageable.

Support can also help parents better understand what their child may be communicating and how they can support them at home.

Family support is available for families with children and young people from around age 4. It can be particularly helpful when communication has become difficult, misunderstandings are frequent, or everyone seems to be talking but nobody feels heard.

We can work on communication, interpretation and translation — helping family members understand what is being said, what may be meant, and what might be sitting underneath the words or behaviour.

This can be especially valuable during periods of change, including adolescence, when communication, independence, expectations and relationships can all shift.

Parent-only family support is also an option. Your child or young person doesn’t need to be involved in every session for us to work on understanding what’s happening and finding ways forward.

How does mentoring work?

There isn’t a rigid process to follow.

We start where you are, work out what’s getting in the way and explore what might make things easier. Together, we identify patterns, build understanding and develop practical strategies that fit your actual life.

You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you need.

Support from wherever you are, through online 1:1 mentoring sessions.

For programmes that include ongoing support, WhatsApp can provide a way to check in, ask questions, share what’s happening between sessions and keep the work connected to real life.

Sometimes sitting opposite someone isn’t the easiest way to talk.

You may be thinking that walk & Talk is an in person only service, but it is actually available for some distance sessions as well, if that is what works best for you.

Walk & Talk sessions offer the opportunity to talk while moving, with the environment and pace adapted to what works for you.

Face-to-face mentoring in North Devon, providing a more personal space to work together.

Sometimes the thing you need support with is actually doing the thing.

Where appropriate, mentoring can happen out in the community — helping you build confidence, practise strategies and navigate real-world situations together.

ReStabilise is a 6-week high-level support programme for times of instability, when everything feels overwhelming but you know that, with the right support, you can get back on solid ground.

Includes sessions, reports, WhatsApp support between sessions and a highly responsive service.

Foundations for Life is a 12-week support programme designed to build self-understanding, develop personalised practical strategies and create a complete support pack you can take forward with you.

Includes sessions, reports, community support as needed and WhatsApp support between sessions.

Chronically Alive is a 6-month mentoring programme designed for people experiencing chronic illness or ongoing symptoms that are impacting their quality of life. I understand how stressful and isolating this stage can feel, and I would love to support you through it.

How do I get started?

Just get in touch. That’s it.

You can contact me directly. You don’t need to come through a professional or another organisation.

We keep the starting process simple. We’ll gather the information we genuinely need as we go.

It’s me. You work directly with me throughout your support. There is no passing you between different people.

Where appropriate, programme costs can be paid in instalments. We’ll talk through the options before you commit.

Your support isn’t something that’s prescribed to you and handed over. We work things out together, at a pace that makes sense for you.

You don’t have to figure everything out before you get in touch.
That’s what we’re here to do together.
