Meet Sian
Helping people understand themselves, one conversation at a time.
Hello, I’m Sian.
I’m the founder of Diverse Living Devon, a Neurodivergent Mentor, and someone who is endlessly curious about people.
For more than thirteen years I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, young people, adults and families through some of life’s most overwhelming moments. Whether someone is trying to understand ADHD, autism, sensory processing, anxiety, emotional regulation or simply why everyday life feels harder than it seems to for everyone else, my role is always the same.
To listen.
To understand.
To help things make sense.
Because I don’t believe people need fixing.
I believe they deserve understanding.

I see what sits beneath the surface.
People often tell me that I notice things they hadn’t seen themselves.
Where others might see behaviour, I see it as communication and so instead I am curious.
Where others see resistance, I wonder what might be making something feel unsafe, overwhelming or impossible.
Where others see chaos, I start gently connecting the dots.
I don’t look for what’s “wrong”, I look for what is hard.
I look for what your experiences are trying to tell us.
Together we begin making sense of things that may have felt confusing for years.

“I wonder why that happens?”
This is one of my favourite questions
It has shaped my life.
It leads me to research, to learn, to listen and to keep asking exploring until things begin to make sense.
It has taught me that every behaviour has a reason.
Every person has a story.
And every family already holds many of the answers, they often just need someone to help them uncover them.
Curiosity creates understanding.
Understanding creates change.
I believe the best support is built together.
You won’t find judgement here.
Or someone telling you how you should parent, think or live.
Instead, we’ll work alongside each other.
We’ll explore what life feels like for you.
We’ll notice patterns.

We’ll celebrate strengths.
We’ll gently untangle the things that feel difficult.
Then we’ll build practical strategies that genuinely fit your everyday life.
Not because they’re what a textbook says should work.
Because they’re what works for you.

A little bit about me…
Outside of mentoring, you’ll usually find me researching something that has captured my curiosity, creating new resources, writing blogs, designing journals or dreaming up ideas that might make life just a little easier for someone else.
I’m forever connecting ideas together.
Sometimes those ideas arrive faster than I can keep up with them!
So I often smile and say,
“Let’s plant that in my brain for later.”
It’s become one of my favourite reminders that not every good idea needs acting on immediately.
Some ideas simply need somewhere safe to grow until the time is right.
I think life can be a little like that too.

Why I do this work
Because I know how powerful understanding can be.
I’ve seen the relief when a child finally feels understood.
The confidence that grows when an adult realises they’re not failing, they are using systems not designed for their brain.
The hope that returns when a family stops fighting each other and starts understanding one another.
Those moments never stop being special.
They remind me why I love what I do.
If you’ve found your way here…
Perhaps life feels overwhelming.
Perhaps you’re trying to understand your child.
Perhaps you’re beginning to understand yourself.
Or perhaps you simply know that something needs to change, even if you can’t yet explain what that is.
Whatever has brought you here, you’re very welcome.
You don’t need to have all the answers before reaching out.
Sometimes understanding begins with a single conversation.
I’d love to meet you.
